Companies that manufacture electrical and electronic equipment under their own name or brand

Retailer

Companies that resell devices from other manufacturers under their own brand name or

sell under their own brand.

Online retailer

Online retailers with warehousing and shipping capabilities are also required to accept returns.

Registration requirement

Manufacturers and retailers must register with the Elektro- Foundation before placing products on the market

Register your old devices with the Altgeräte Register (ear Foundation).


Take-back obligations

When selling new devices, a free take-back program for similar used devices (1:1-

(return) are offered.


Waste disposal obligations

The returned devices must be disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner and in compliance with the law
